We believe we are the best Backpacker’s Hostel in Quito and we are known for our warm and inviting atmosphere, our clean, comfortable accommodations, and our great pricing. We pride ourselves in providing what can best be described as a “chill-out” hostel. We attract backpackers of all ages from all over the world.
We offer our guests great hostel amenities but most importantly our beds are comfortable, and our staff friendly and helpful. We are perfectly located between La Mariscal and the “old town,” close to where all the action is and within walking distance of everything.
Our location is just right for most people who visit Quito and want to avoid the noise and congestion of Ecuador’s second largest city. We are located a short 10 minutes walk from the “old town.” El Centro Histórico, as the quiteños call it, is the jewel in Quito’s crown. This area has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walking thorough this area is like stepping back in time. The 17th century facades, the magnificent churches, the spacious plazas, and the restored colonial buildings all combine to give the visitor a wondrous experience.
Most visitors will spend the day touring the sites of the old town but will want to visit La Mariscal, (gringo landia) in the evening. We are located a short 20 minute walk (5 minute $2-$3.00 cab ride) from Mariscal Sucre. Here you will find an area filled with cafes and restaurants offering a variety of international foods. This is where the real nightlife is. Be sure to visit El Pobre Diablo, Bungalow 6, Blues, and the House of Rock. Remember many places are closed Sundays and no alcohol is served on Sundays.
Like all backpackers’ hostels worldwide, we are dedicated to responsible and sustainable travel. Guests are expected to clean up after themselves by doing their own dishes and treating the building, staff, and other guests with respect at all times.
Our hostel is not for everyone. If you are looking for a party place with nightly entertainment, lots of drinking games and a “No Rules, Everything Goes” atmosphere, please book another hostel.
